butterfly box

Took a class at Stamp 4 All that was taught by the owners of Penguin Pants rubber stamps.

we made the coolest box and it really was easy once we got going. Most of it was just a matter of folding paper little to no tape was used. They got the pattern from a yahoo group called Scrapbook Lounge

the finished box all put together.
Inside was the prize though a cute accordion book that you could embellish any way you want.
All the stamps were from Penguin pants.
I am not the pest with prismas but by the time I colored some of them I was getting better.

Start with 16 pieces of paper 6 x 6 in 2 different styles. and start folding. 8 for the box and 8 for the accordion.

Hope you enjoyed this It will be a while for the next post as I will be on vacation. I think when I get back and after I finish a few projects I might do a tutorial on this.

July calendar

well its about that time again. can't believe half the year is gone.

this is the clipboard calender page I did for July.
1/2 sheet of paper.
sponged with not quiet navy.
stamped with same color the saying which I LOVE. its an old stamp I bought on clearance many many years ago by Coronado Island. I use it whenever I can. Makes for a great background on so many things.
Embossed the fireworks with a blue glitter ep. stamp is by CTMH
lastly used my newest punch to make these stars. Aren't they awesome?? the stamp is from stampin up. now I soooo "NEED" the small star.

well only a few more days till vacation but will try to put a few more things up before I leave

fabric postcard

the absent stamper returns!!!!!!!!!!!!!

with graduation and a million guests coming and going over the last few weeks I just haven't stamped much.

But this months challenge was to make a fabric postcard. (6 x 4 card)

used the background fabric which I just loved and wrapped an entire piece of card stock. then stamped the Eiffel tower by stampin up in basic gray and distressed with close to cocoa. stamped the unknown wine bottle (a UM) in burgundy mounted both on the card. the back has another piece of card stock slightly smaller that says wine tasting tour is awesome wish you were here.

hope to get some more stuff up soon but will be going on vacation soon to the world of the mouse so will be absent again for a while

party in a box

my demo couldn't do a show for my in laws while there were in town due to her being out of town for a graduation so she put together a party in a box and these are the three projects we did eventually when we found a few minutes to do them.

the above card is a spinner card tooo cute.
the new fresh cut notes and stamps. oops looks like I am missing my pearl on that flower hmmm will have to find that.

this was a bit more complicated with the embossing but boy did it turn out pretty

YAHOOOO party time

so where have I been??? well my son graduated from high school this past weekend. we had a ton of out of town guests for the better part of a week or so. We are so proud of my son for sticking it out. he hasn't had the easiest time at school but he is a good kid.

Funny thing happened too at graduation. He was listed twice in the program once in the regular graduates and then again as a foreign exchange student. Funny till he got his diploma and they gave him the foreign exchange honorary diploma. So we waited till Monday and they had his real one at the school. No explanation other as to how it happen. Just one more time that school district 81 had to stick it to my kid. I am so glad he is out of there. now on with life.

Sorry Been MIA for a bit toady was my son's graduation and we have lots of out of town visitors so just been too swamped. I do have some scrapbook pages to post and hope to have some more stuff to upload in a couple of days
