november calendar

well when this started out I really liked it but now I don't like it as much. It needs more color. I did add some sponging around the edges but ahh still only so so for me. stamps are by stampin up except the tree which is by penguin pants rubber stamps. used markers and pencils to color the images.

zindorf wolf

I absolutely love Michelle zindorf's style. check out her original that I copied to my best try on her blog at http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/

with whisper white paper stamp leaves from best blossoms set by stampin up with versa mark then in old olive and tip off with some rust (hindsight use more of the rust) then emboss with clear ep.

stamp the wolf with black and color I didn't have a gray pencil so I used brown.

then sponge with always artichoke deeper in some spots.

add a little black sponge to the bottom

add a few leaves with always artichoke some stamped off first

I have always wanted to try some of Michelle zindorf techniques and thought the stamp social would be a perfect place to do it. I LOVE it. check out her blog (click on her name) for more information.

Start with whisper white card stock from stampin up. Pumpkin by stamp in the hand. ink up with Pumpkin Pie generously since its a bold image and apply nice even but heavy pressure.

Next brayer summer sun on most of the card with a mask in place for the pumpkin. This was my first real attempt at brayer believe it or not. Long story short I bought a brayer 12 years ago and dropped it as soon as I got it and nicked it. well never used it again and bought a new one just recently just to try some of these techniques.

If you notice some white around the pumpkin its ok or you can use a sponge and dab in there to get it more even. personal choice.

Next brayer in old olive on bottom using the mask as well

Now for the night sky. use eggplant and a mask for both the moon (keeps that yellow on the card) and the pumpkin. Now hind sight I would probably do a little less dark so not so many times with the brayer.

Sponge in more mustard to the moon outsides to give it a glow.

P.S like the idea with the sponge and the binder clip. My stampin up demo Sharon is soooo smart.

Sponge some always artichoke around the edges of the card to give it dimension I just love that color.

With a stampscapes stamp and black marvy ink I stamped some branches

layer and you are done. about 10 min if you don't count taking everything out and putting it back.

look I learned how to do a watermark too. maybe next time I will take the time to make the card straight but don't count on it.
