old teaches young

My favorite shot is the one where Duncan (pup) is sitting under the chin of Storm (older dog) this was taken not long before we had to put storm down. I think Duncan knew that it was a bad day for Storm he stuck by his side the whole day and didn't run around like a wild thing like he normally does.

Duncan and the old man

by now you have realized that I did some scrap booking lately and I have scheduled out some of the pages so that they are spread out along with some cards (hopefully) One of the batches of photos I had was of our newest westie (well 2006 he was new) and some of our "old man" storm he is 17 in these pictures and was put down September 11, 2006 sadly. He will live in our hearts forever.

But the new little guy "storm" is working out pretty good I have to say.

mistake

I know I shouldn't even post the above but just have to show you what happens when you DON'T view what you have just snapped a picture of. And then proceed to put all your scrapbooks away and then a day later look at the pictures you have taken. SHAME SHAME. Don't do what I have done.

both of these pages were done on CTMH paper

the left page with the dog (Duncan) headed off the brick wall was taken by accident when my husband was taking pictures of him and saw him headed off the wall he grabbed him just as he snapped the shot. lucky on two counts.

bee walking

well if you read my photo blog this is repeat but its my favorite page I did recently and just had to post it.

As you can see I don't journal much at all but I did do a little on this one. one reason I don't is my printing is not pretty yeah I know I could type it up but really I just don't care for journaling much in my books. don't tell any creative memory people that shhhhh.

Anyhow this is one of my favorite pages because of the story behind it. here are a three 16 year old, bored and inventing things to do. So they capture a bee. Yes a big old bumblebee. the captured him/her (how do you tell?) by putting finding one on a flower and then putting a plastic bag over it. then took some string and made a little lasso. and fished it in the bag till it was around the bee. I know I know very inhumane but hey they weren't out starting fires or drinking and bee's only live so long so I went with it.

After lassoing it they took it out of the bag and starting walking it down the street. this just totally cracked me up. Leave it to a teenager to think up something like this.

scrapbooking retreat

over memorial weekend I went on a scrap booking retreat. I was able to finish around 130 pages with pictures and most with journaling (very little) a few need titles. It felt so good I am now caught up to 2002 of course I haven't hit digital picture taking yet that is 2006 I am in big trouble then on. Now mind you most of my scrapbooks are fairly simple and done in the creative memories type style. but I have been taking some scrap booking classes where I make an 8 page layout like these from my ctmh gal once a month now. These I will use for pictures from 2006 and later. I want to use up all of what I have before I change over to a new style. Which I LOVE.
p.s. sorry the pictures of these are TERRIBLE I was using the camera I hate and in a hurry to boot. I wanted to get some shots of them before I had to put them away which was immediately so this is the price I pay.

the glare is from the page protectors on them. I didn't have time to remove them before shooting them.

princess pages

Now normally I wouldn't do this girly kind of pages since I have a boy and i am so NOT a pink person. but I thought these pages would be good for Disney pictures.

Hubby and I went to Disney World for our 20Th anniversary last summer and these will work great for them.

we had dinner in the castle and I think those pictures will go great on here.

sorry I was so lazy taking pictures I didn't take them out of the page protectors. Its been a crazy couple of weeks at work and I have been just to pooped to do much when I get home.

Scrapbooking - rockets and more

Did these at my Close to my heart scrap booking class. I just love them.

I have a boy so I was thrilled to do some boy pages. But after doing them I think they will be perfect for Disney World pictures.
Toy Story and buzz lightyear come to mind for some of them.

But these two will be perfect for Tinkerbell pictures.

scrapbooking wedding

The above page I did at a ctmh class long ago and I bought extra paper knowing just what I would do with this.
these are pictures from my husband's niece's wedding 2 years ago. She is gorgeous I tell you gorgeous.

Above I stitched the two together in photoshop. that took forever and likely will not be happening again. lol

These are two layouts I did on my own with the paper packet. I had a lot of pictures in this album and although I love this paper I was pretty sick of it by the end of it. lol check out the little girl stealing a finger of cake tooo cute.

well I think thats it for scrapbooking stuff onto stamping next hopefully
