drinks anyone?

Did this for a lime green color swap. Stamps are by Penguin Pants rubber stamps. Stamped the background with the lime. Stamped the glass and added liquid glass to make it look like liquid and then added some micro beads to the top of the glass for salt. See below for a close up

scotty atc

Did this for a scotty dog swap. the background is done with a the cuttlebug. A trick I learned from my stampin up demo was to ink up one side of the embossing folder then put down paper and run through big shot or cuttlebug. gives the dimension some color. the scotty dog is a quickkuts die cut. and stamped a paw I think PSX and the words are Penguin Pants Rubber stamps. Not sure where to get the little bone paperclip it was a gift from hubby.

pink butterflies

as most of you know my last few months have been crazy busy but I am still trying to get some crafting in. I made these atc's for two different swaps. Pink swap and a butterfly swap. maybe that's cheating maybe its just being smart no idea.

the background is cuttlebug. then on acetate I stamped with stayzon a ctmh butterfly. added glue with a glue pen and glitter then mounted with brads.

I wish the stray glitter I could get rid of I tried all kinds of things and still some remains. DRIVES me batty.

manly

Did this for a swap. A manly swap something to give a guy that's very hard for me.

First brayed white in a light blue. then added the mask and brayed in a darker blue. stamped in black the ship then let dry. crumpled up the paper and distressed the edges. pop dotted on to white and called it good.

tim holtz tag

this was another project from Kate at absolutely everything in Massachusetts stop in and check out that store some time OMG its cool.

first we ran some distressed ink over the tag (forgot what color) then we added some masking (light sections on tag) and then we used one of those mini misters with a bit of alcohol ink and water in it misted the whole thing lightly. added some stamped images and some ribbon and embellishments and then done.

gift card holder

Totally loved this idea to put a gift card in. Painted the outside card holder which basically has the image and then a little band that goes around a slightly larger gift card holder piece (below) used glitter pens, copics and dimensional magic.

This is the inside of the card. I used punches to create the cuts on the fold.

acohol ink tag

Thanks to Kate at Absolutely Everything in Massachusetts we made this totally awesome tag. We used the Adirondack bright alcohol reinkers dropped them onto glossy card stock then used a can of air (like you use on your computers) and blew it around. then stamped on top. added some baubles that were also painted with alcohol inks. Add a flower that was painted with alcohol inks and a bit of stickles glitter glue. Put the whole thing on a tag and added some ribbon

slider friendship card

A card we did at our east coast mini stamp camp. LOVE this idea. you use the ribbon basically to carry the message under the stamped image area that has been raised up using pop dots.

so very very clever.

business envelope project

Another project we completed while back east. Using a standard size business envelope cut in half. we covered it with decorative paper including the inside flap. Then cut a bit off the corners so it makes a flap. added some flowers and you have a perfect card holder.

as you can see the inside has the security stuff on it. No need to cover the entire inside. each envelope now makes two envelops for use.

lunch box card holder

I know you saw this already but thought I would post a couple more shots so you can see a few more details. the outside is covered with paper and ribbons and some chipboard letters that are colored and glittered.

Inside I am putting cards that I have pre-made so I can just pull them out when I need them. hmm next project. lol
but it would make a great gift include a pen, stamps and a small address book or list of birthdays.

scrapbooking retreat

over memorial weekend I went on a scrap booking retreat. I was able to finish around 130 pages with pictures and most with journaling (very little) a few need titles. It felt so good I am now caught up to 2002 of course I haven't hit digital picture taking yet that is 2006 I am in big trouble then on. Now mind you most of my scrapbooks are fairly simple and done in the creative memories type style. but I have been taking some scrap booking classes where I make an 8 page layout like these from my ctmh gal once a month now. These I will use for pictures from 2006 and later. I want to use up all of what I have before I change over to a new style. Which I LOVE.
p.s. sorry the pictures of these are TERRIBLE I was using the camera I hate and in a hurry to boot. I wanted to get some shots of them before I had to put them away which was immediately so this is the price I pay.

the glare is from the page protectors on them. I didn't have time to remove them before shooting them.

lunchbox, scrap desk

check out this cool desk

http://www.theoriginalscrapbox.com/catalog/

I soooo need this desk for my stamp room which currently looks like above

wouldn't a desk like this look good in there

I love the glass top now that is clever. not only a good surface but you can store your treasured items in there for inspiration. plenty of cubbies and pockets for putting tools and accessories in there as well.

check it out for yourself and while you are at it vote for my cutest project. somewhere around 352 they havn't got it up on their site yet. edited to add I am number 354you will see more of this project in another blog. I am just back from a fun week of stamping and scrapping with friends on the east coast.

ok check back in a few days or hopefully tomorrow if I can get more pictures resized in time for more fun projects. I learned lots of new things

butterfly slider

Made this card a while ago for a mini stamp camp with 3 other friends. butterflies are stamped in craft ink and clear embossed then sponged coloring. Used the slot punch and a couple of pennies to make the twirlier part of the card. All stamps are Close to my heart

tree

Last card from my stampin up club night. I LOVE this card. And of course I had to have the set. the background is an embossing plate that was swiped with creamy carmel to give it a two tone look. very clever idea.

tulips

I adore this set by stampin up. its a shame its retired. I made the top card for a red swap and darn it I forgot to photograph the best part. the inside section actual swivels out (see the heart brad?) and there is a message inside. I am also using this card for my mothers day card hopefully my mother in law will like it.

I had some scraps left over so I made this card as well. I don't know tulips just make me happy I think that's why I like this stamp set so much.

you are my sunshine my only sunshine

thought I would show how it opens as well.

rockin jukebox

a monthly challenge that we had to take a pre stamped image, in this case the jukebox, and then create a card with it.

I tried to mimic the colors on the stamp with the background and then placed a stamped sheet of music that I antiqued. then added some punches of notes.

after this was photographed I added a happy birthday at the bottom right it just looked like it needed more.

Bird atc

I absolutely love these birds. They are a stamp by a stamp in the hand as is the branches in the background.

I direct colored the stamp and then placed on glossy paper. did the same for the leaves and then did some sponging.
