Season mini photo album - penguin pants

Made the coolest little mini photo album last night at a Penguin Pants Rubber stamps class.

All the pages used one stamp set called make a tree. Lots of water coloring which is not my strongest point but by the end of the night I was really starting to get the hang of it. the holders are ID holders that you can get at any office supply store. Held together with ribbon.

time for the beach

I had fun with this card. started out with a blue sheet stamped the palm tree on it (make an impression stamp) added the punched leaves and coconuts. was going to color the trunk but decided I didn't want to. added some sandpaper for beach. some small elements cut out from the stampin up set Shore thing.

An Inchies Card

I like how this turned out. wasn't to crazy about the inchie size but put it on a card with a word by hero arts, some torn paper. the inches are raised with pop dots as well.

I won something yahooo

Its a scorepal mat from Melanie Muenchinger at her blog site of:

http://melaniemuenchinger.blogspot.com/

Check it out she always has something fun up on her blog and some great humor as well.

I will be off again for a few days yet again this summer. its the summer of many things I suppose and this is not the end of it either.

Now that I have a scorepal mat you know I have to do something with it so hopefully soon. when I come back I have a pretty "wild" inchie card

vellum and the cuttlebug

I was playing around with the cuttlebug and vellum a few nights ago and came up with these three designs.

The above one ended up being a sympathy card for a dear friend that lost her mother. it has purple paper behind it. the birds and vines are colored from behind.

this needs something but not sure what maybe some words the background is polished stone. then added a denami dragonfly with some stickles on it.

this is my favorite but didn't like that my tape shows, dang it why can't you find things when you are looking for them. I know I have vellum tape SOMEWHERE in the stamp room. Black background with birds only colored, added some ribbon and the stampin' up flower punch. punched twice once in black and once in white and sponged.

photo book

remember that book?? well I decided to make almost a dozen of them with pictures as thank you notes for my husbands family that came up for my sons graduation. WHAT was I smoking??? it took forever just to get all the hats cricut out. Inside are pictures of everyone with my son and some candid shots of things we did while they were all visiting.

some of the pictures have captions and most everything was cut with the cricut except the stars that was a stampin up punch
we are very proud of our son. Isn't he handsome??

August Calendar and a card

About time right?? well summer has been way crazier then I ever thought it would be. Here is my prototype of the calendar I made for august. In the finished product I didn't use the water stamp it made it look to harsh The stamps are all from A stamp in the Hand. mostly marvy markers and ink pads. Stipple brushes added the light blue to the background.

I ended up making a card out similar to the calendar as well.

drumroll technique

our technique for the stamp club I am in was called drum roll. you take glossy paper scribble on it with a crayon and then with a wet finger drum or thump all over it. I REALLY REALLY didn't like this technique and after several attempts this is my ending project. the background is done but so are the flowers which I cut out with a stampin up punch. Wished I would have put leaves on it but spaced that. added a stamp in the hand bee to the whole thing as well
